The Salus NPC1B is a new-generation electronic controller designed for efficient management of recirculation pumps in central heating systems or for supplying domestic hot water (DHW) cylinders. Compact, easy to install, and equipped with a clear digital display, this unit optimizes energy consumption and extends the operational lifespan of your heating equipment.

Operating Modes & Versatility

The controller can operate in one of two selectable modes depending on your installation requirements:

1. Central Heating Mode: Controls the recirculation pump based on boiler temperature, starting the pump when the preset temperature threshold is reached and stopping it when the boiler cools down (fixed 2°C hysteresis).

2. Domestic Hot Water (DHW) Mode: Activates the pump supplying the storage cylinder whenever water heating is required and shuts it off automatically once the target temperature is achieved.

Advanced Safety & Protection Features

• Anti-Stop Function: Periodically engages the pump for brief cycles during off-season months, preventing rotor seizing and limescale buildup.

• Anti-Freeze Protection: Automatically activates the pump if the sensor detects fluid temperatures below 5°C to protect pipework from freezing.

• Overheat Acoustic Alarm: Emits an audible warning signal if the heating medium temperature exceeds 90°C, helping protect system components from thermal damage.
