The thermostat measures the room temperature with its integrated sensor and maintains the temperature at the reference level by transmitting appropriate commands. Switching hysteresis is 1 K.

The RDD100.1 thermostat has a normal operating mode and, optionally, an economical or OFF mode. The difference between normal and economy mode is only the room temperature reference. Switching from normal mode to economy mode and vice versa is done by pressing a button.
